Harriet Downing is a British pencil, ink and watercolour artist based in Surrey in the South of England.
Known for her beautifully detailed portraits of animals and buildings, Harriet’s work captures each subject’s charm and charisma. Her work is elegant and timeless, with subtle details that deliberately cause the viewer to pause and look closer.
Before becoming a full-time artist, Harriet spent six years as an Artillery Officer in the British Army. Now her adventures are mostly on windswept footpaths with husband Paul and their daughter, Arabella - though her love for animals and all that makes Britain great remains unchanged.
